Nevada Rural Hospital Partners A.Regular NRHP Member – A membership category that requires that the member be a licensed Nevada hospital that provides acute inpatient care, primarily to rural areas and/or distinct non-urban communities.At least one of the following criteria must be met in order to be classified as a “Regular NRHP Member.” 1.501 (c)(3) status (exempt from federal taxes); or 2. A constituent part of a 501(c)(3) organization, which, if independent, would qualify 501(c)(3)status; or 3.The hospital is owned and operated by the United States government, a State government, or a political sub-division (county, city, or district owned, i.e. 'public')
B)Associate NRHP Member – A membership category that includes out-of-state, not-for-profit, and federal hospitals.Access to some NRHP services and programs may be limited. Entities that would qualify for this status might be: Eastern Sierra public and not-for-profit hospitals.
Nevada Rural Hospital Partners Foundation (NRHPF) A 501(c)(3) educational and charitable organization that, unlike NRHP, may have for-profit members.There are two categories of membership in NRHPF:
A)Regular NRHPF Member – A membership category that includes licensed Nevada hospitals that provide acute inpatient care, primarily to rural areas and/or distinct non-urban communities.Must meet one or more of the following criteria: 1.County owned; or 2.District owned; or 3.Private, 501(c)(3) hospital (exempt from federal taxes)
B)Associate NRHPF Member – A membership category that includes facilities other than those that qualify for Regular NRHPF Member status, such as not-for-profit health centers or clinics, and for-profit rural hospitals located in Nevada.
